  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Butter
  • ¼ cup Traditional Balsamic Vinegar
  • ¼ cup Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp. Dried Italian Herb Seasoning
  • 1/3 cup Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • ½ cup Cherry Tomatoes, quartered
  • ¼ Red Onion, thinly sliced
  • (Optional) 1 ripe Avocado, diced

Servings: 4

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Directions

  • 1

    Preheat oven to 400F.

  • 2

Heat up a skillet over medium high heat for 1 minute. Season the steak generously with the salt and black pepper.

  • 3

Add the butter to the hot skillet to melt. Add the seasoned steak and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, then transfer to the oven to cook another 3-4 minutes.

  • 4

Let the steak rest 5-8 minutes before slicing.

  • 5

In a small bowl, mix the balsamic, olive oil, and herb seasoning together. Season with salt and black pepper.

  • 6

On a large serving platter, add the hearts of romaine. Evenly distribute the quartered cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, and (if adding) diced avocado on top of the romaine. Add the sliced steak and blue cheese crumbles.

  • 7

Serve the balsamic vinaigrette on the salad or drizzle on top of the salad to enjoy!
