STATEMENT ON COMPLIANCE WITH CALIFORNIA TRANSPARENCY IN SUPPLY CHAINS ACT OF 2010
This Statement applies to Braga Fresh Family Farms, Inc. and its affiliates and its subsidiaries website JosiesOrganics.com (collectively, “Braga”) regarding its obligations under the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 – S.B. 657 (the “Act”). The Act endeavors to increase available information regarding efforts to address forced labor and human trafficking throughout the supply chain. Braga is committed to full compliance with all labor laws, including the Act, and to operate our business ethically and with respect for human rights and dignity. We promote and maintain a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, human trafficking, involuntary labor, employment of minors and abuse.
As a condition of doing business with Braga, all of our vendors must comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations in the jurisdictions in which we operate, including but not limited to those relating to age requirements, child labor, working conditions, hours worked and wages earned. We require an absolute prohibition on the use of human trafficking, slavery or involuntary labor of any kind, including child labor.
Our vendors must submit a signed acknowledgment to ensure compliance with all applicable laws related to human welfare and environmental management, state/federal food safety laws, and our required food safety management and disclosures. We maintain the right to monitor compliance with our policies through inspection by third-party monitors and/or Braga representatives. Our vendors must maintain on-site documentation of compliance with our standards. If our vendors are not in compliance with our standards, we maintain the right to terminate our business relationship.
